George specialises in restoration of 18th and 19th century furniture and has done much work for both private and museum collections. Conservation and care of antiques is essential to protect items for the future, and at George Williams Antiques, we use the right materials and methods coupled with over 30 years experience to give us the great advantage of understanding the common problems and changing environmental conditions that antiques are subject to today.
The work carried out includes a full range of cabinet making skills, veneering, marquetry, cleaning and polishing. Also matching missing locks and brass handles. Over the years George has collected a vast array of old timbers and veneers which are hugely important when restoring old furniture. All this work is carried out in his own workshop.
