George has designed this completely natural, wonderfully fragrant solvent free wax, so that it can be used on all timber surfaces and is safe to use around food and in the kitchen.
Beeswax is the primary ingredient, which has been carefully blended with carnauba wax to create a product which will feed, enhance, enrich and protect all your timber surfaces. It can be used on chopping boards, kitchen worktops and all timber items associated with food and in the home.
The natural beeswax and essentials oils give the wax a bright fresh fragrance which also acts as a natural repellent to woodworm. Every batch is handmade by George to ensure consistent quality, and regular application over time will create a protective moisture repellent surface on your timber.
Original Antique Furniture Wax | 250ml tin
George has created this gorgeous smelling wax specifically for antique timber.
Using an 18th century recipe as the basis, George carefully blends beeswax and carnauba wax with turpentine and other waxes to create a wax that not only polishes and nourishes the timber but also over time creates a hard protective water resistant surface. In addition, the essential oils and turpentine present both act as woodworm repellents.
This method of waxing was employed by the earliest cabinet makers, and has been tried and tested for generations. George has been making and using this Original Antique Furniture Wax for over 20 years, and he is really proud to be able to offer it for sale.
